OG,
or ogee clocks are rectangular in shape and have a double, continuous
S-like curve used as a molding. Ogee is a woodworking term for this
shape molding.
Most
of these clocks were driven by weights inside the case. The clock
would run for approximately 30 hours per winding.
Some
models were produced that could run for 8 days on a winding. The 8 day type were manufactured in much smaller quantities, making
them rarer than the 30 hour type.
