If your
clock fails to run, make sure it's wound up properly. This may seem
obvious, but it we have seen this many times over the years.
When you
wind a clock with a key, turn the key until it stops. Give it a little
extra twist to verify that the spring is completely wound up, but don't
apply excessive force or you may damage the clock.
Sometimes
it is necessary to get a different key with a larger handle to provide
the proper leverage to get the clock wound completely.
